I always eye the Lego Millennium Falcon but the price is too high. Now my son loves Star Wars and Legos. Probably not gonna get a better price, so I'm getting myself this. I mean getting him this. Definitely for my son. I'm a man in my 40's. Why would I want Legos? (Totally for me.)

Looks like most sets are on sale, 20% off is pretty decent these days. Sets don't hit clearance as often as they used to.

Got my Lepin UCS for $200. Sure it's a knock off. But it wasn't bad quality. That thing was huge!

I got the Lepin Millennium Falcon from AliExpress (not the ultimate collector version, the Force Awakens version). It wasn't worth it.

There are just too many moving parts/funny hinge connections that depend on good connections. For basic blocks, off-brands are okay. For pieces at funny angles with hinges, real Lego is the way to go for me.

It's tricky though because I've already got too many pieces so I can't justify Lego prices when I don't need more. So I just don't get to buy much anymore.

You know falcons only live in the wild for like 16 years, so every falcon you see flying in the sky is technically a millennium falcon.

Pretty sure Lepin isn't a competitor, it's more like a quality knock off. Doesn't matter tho, the Chinese police raided the factories, arrested the owner and sentenced to 6 years in jail.
