I love my Sync Box. Makes the Gradient strip worth it.

I know it's not a deal, but it's in stock and that's hard to find. I'll be letting my brother know this is in stock. Thanks OP!!!

It's also available on Philips hue site. I ordered it from Abt a few weeks ago and the order was on "scheduling shipping" status from the manufacturer for a while. Had to reorder it from Hue and cancel Abt. Already shipped. Not sure if BB ships directly from the manufacturer too.

I'm a huge fan of hue. I have a tonic bulbs but this just seems lacking for the price tag. Doesn't compare to the look of the old dream screen or even philips ambilight. I'm not sure why this void has not been filled. I'd pay 300 for the box and individually assignable bulbs but not the box alone. Glad most enjoy it I just want better.

Anybody know if there is a third party item that will work with Hue play bars / strips, etc that will do the same thing?

Love the sync box. Got the gradient 65" on my LG OLED and 3 play bars all wired into an HD Fury arcana and Vertex2 and the my Sonos arc and setup. Sync box is the real deal

In terms of hardware, that will worked with DRM'ed content being sent to your TV (like Netflix, HBO Max) or gaming console over HDMI, no. At least nothing turn-key like this box is.

If you're only using unprotected content on your Google TV, there's software stuff like https://hyperion-project.org/ will work with any Hue product, (with caveats).

Anyone know if there is a new version coming out soon that will support newer gaming systems, Dolby vision, etc?

I picked up the set with three bars for $150 recently only because I assumed this was included. I can't believe this thing is $200+ by itself. Why? What's the point of the bars without this given where the bars are meant to be placed? I feel like I bought a console without the disc drive and the drive is an add on that costs more than the console.

This box should be included with every set of bars or sold for $50 max on the side. $200+ is absurd. Philips is getting greedier and competition is only increasing.

The price point for this thing makes me extremely disillusioned with the Hue ecosystem. I've already invested enough as it is over the years. Throw us a bone, Philips.....geesh.

I use a receiver with two hdmi outs: one to the tv, the other to sync box. Dolby Vision works great

Does anyone know if this supports ARC? I mostly use the apps built into my TV (but also have home theater).

Because they can. I'm also somewhat deep in Hue but hate Phillips

Fwiw philips tries to justify their aggressive pricing by saying you're paying for future support and development
