in for 1. i'm just hoping they don't go for cheaper during prime day next week...
Edit: **UPDATE** They just came and… they are super disappointing. The noise cancellation is laughably bad. When you turn on ANC on the Bose QC or AirPods Pro for the first time, it's a jaw-dropping experience. The whole world around you just immediately turns off and everything is silent.
These? They add a slight fuzz and that's about it. I honestly thought the ANC wasn't turned on at first. It's barely noticeable. And as anybody who has used the Bose or AirPods can tell you, ANC should be VERY noticeable.
The problem is that without ANC, what the heck is the point? All of a sudden, these aren't an inexpensive alternative to the expensive pairs, these are now an expensive alternative to the really cheap pairs.
Super disappointed! Definitely not worth it even at this discount price. If you want mediocre earbuds, there are a lot of options at less than half this price. Pass hard on these.
unlikely, historic low was $100 to $120 so $80 to $100 is already a reasonable discount.
agreed. my assumption is this discount will be back on prime day and they will be reoffered at this price again. but not lower than this. i'm guessing this is a "preview price"
also, i traded in a worthless old alexa puck i had lying around last week. they gave me $5 for it + a 25% code off any new alexa device. the echo buds ARE considered an alexa device so that knocked off another 25%. so i was able to get these under $60.
so my expectations aren't sky high, hopefully they're good for the gym.
With prime day coming up, can I get headphones that are as good/close or better with sound quality for the same amount or less? I have a pair of airpods I just got. I need something with better sound and battery life than them but ideally within the 80$ range.

I got these on preorder and am returning them because I cannot get a good fit no matter what I try. My old Jabra 65t fit much better. I found the touch controls irritating too. The sound quality was pretty good and I could use either side if I wanted to just use one which was nice. The noise cancellation wasn't as good as my wife's Jabra 75t. I tried hard to like them but in the end I couldn't do it.

I got these for this price at launch by trading in an old dot. Ended up returning. Touch controls were finnicky (it takes a second to pause so I kept thinking it must have not registered my tap and touching it again causing it to pause and then play again instantly), sound quality was just okay, noise cancelling had two modes: almost none or almost none but with a loud hissing sound as well.
I really wanted to like them, but they were bad for how much they cost. Their under 4 star review and $40 off price a month after launch goes to show I wasn't the only one who had these issues with gen 2.

YMMV. only for new amazon music customers
Seems prime only. They are a lot better than 1st gen, just fyi. There's not going to be the same quality as Bose, Apple or Samsung...but those all are $100 or more...so, you get what you pay for. If you can get the trade in discount, it's worth it.
One thing I like about them (I've had them since launch) that's an improvement over my jabras is that you can set the long touch control to mute/unmute. Great for multitasking on conference calls, I can be emptying the dishwasher and unmute to ask a question. Not that I ever would, of course
