I purchased and returned this monitor a few months ago. I loved the specs on paper and it is a very sleek display. I really wanted to like it a lot.

However, the max brightness of the panel was really disappointing, and the viewing angles are pretty bad even for a VA panel. Even looking at the display head-on from a normal distance, the left and right sides of the panel were noticeably dimmer than the center of the screen. VA panels are known to not have great viewing angles, but I have a budget Vizio V-series TV with a VA panel and it was fine for my use, and I expected this panel to be about the same. It was significantly worse.

I boxed it up for return and put my old LG 27" 4K IPS monitor back on my desk. I was blown away by how much better the picture quality was.

32" 4k monitor for $250... are you seriously expecting 144Hz type value?

Was going to order this when it was $310 but 250 nits is kinda low brightness.

Samsung has a 43 inch version (LS43AM702UNXZA) M7 smart monitor with 300nits coming soon.
But will probably be $500+.
Probably why they are dumping these.

I went with the Dell S3221QS from two weeks ago instead.

I pretty much have all Samsung devices and Samsung has the absolute worst customer service.
Dell service sucks but Samsung is worst. Most CS reps at Samsung are incompetent.

I would say at $250 its worth it. If I didn't get the Dell S3221QS for $285, I would jump on this.

2 in 1 (Monitor with TV integrated) can't be bet at this price. Just use a credit card so you are not at Samsung's mercy for warranty issues

I think the original reviews were productions issues. I have lots of luck with mine. Great product if you know what you are getting. I mostly use as a TV in my office and USB C display mirror for my Chromebook.

Couldn't you just get a 32 inch 4K tv for less? I know I've gotten larger screen 4k TVs for less.
LMAO

Most of my content is 24fps, so 60hz is over kill for me. Most movies are 24 fps, so why would anyone want more?

If you get a 120hz refresh rate all of your frames are just being repeated 5 times each, so it is pointless.
60hz divided by 24fps is an 'uneven' number, so there's some frame interpolation happening. 3:2 pulldown isn't the worst thing ever (watch some youtube videos explaining it), but 144hz / 24fps is a perfect round number (6) so if you're a film 'purist' you'll probably appreciate the lack of that interpolation. The average person may or may not notice; for me I can definitely tell the difference when watching 24fps content.

Could you plug a laptop in and have the screen split between two or more windows?

For a general basic productivity monitor, this checks all the boxes, right?
Even though it doesn't list Thunderbolt, I can still connect to my Lenovo Yoga 9i via single usb-c cable and have the laptop charge and display on the monitor, right? It's limited to 65w max PD, but that should be adequate, and no reason to get a Thunderbolt supported monitor?
For $250, sounds like a steal.
