Magsafe compatible cases (ie with a very simple circular array of magnets) are extremely easy to replicate and more importantly, are non-patentable

These seem like OK deals to me. I like my leather Magsafe case from Apple, and we'll see if it holds up, but idk if it warranted the price tag (higher than this at the time of purchase). Use your judgment

Just a friendly PSA, "with Magsafe" is referring to the case and not the accessory. The CostCo deal includes the Magsafe accessory.

The apple silicone case I bought for my pro max at launch is rubbing off on the edges and just doesn't look great. It's been like…6-7 months and I'm not particularly hard on my items. I'm waiting for the next phone line to hopefully replace it with something on discount.

Do you think the leather protects better than the silicon?

I've been using third party TPU cases since the 4S and specifically wallet TPU cases since the 6. I somewhat like the idea of their wallet attachment but would love a magsafe wallet case (1-piece) that has the magnet/qi stuff on the back of case/outside of the cards and transfers it to the inside/phone back. Probably not possible though.

Also happened to my wife and I. I came here to post this warning as well. All 4 corners of mine shredded off. I now have a Speck silicone case. It's thicker / deeper on the front but you get used to it. Most importantly it hasn't had any edges / corners rub off!

Funny how it has 4.5 stars. I am getting one with the Costco bundle and I am thinking of keeping it new and selling on ebay and just keeping the charger or if its not worth it to sell it, just return the whole bundle. or I can just use it and return it to Costco in the future since they have great return policy. Then again, for those bought from Apple I am sure they would replace it too

Same happened to me, FYI the cases also have a one year warranty. Do a warranty claim to get a free replacement. Was an easy process. Just know that even if they have your case available in the retail area, they won't give you that one. They have to order a generic packaging replacement part.
