This is significantly cheaper than employee pricing for the Go 2, this is a VERY good deal. My Go 1 has been all over the world with me, for international trips it weighs very little and takes up almost no room in my backpack.
Just wondering why the price drop - are they looking at a Go 3 any time soon?
I've ran Photoshop and Premiere on the M3 Surface and seems run well enough to be functional for lightwork. Although I'm very much a fan of the Surface, there are fewer reasons to stay PC these days with all the apps out there, but I still rather not be provide Google with even more personal data than I have to which rules out Android OS for me.

Also the DJ controller (Pioneer DDJ-400) is powered off the USB and while I'm not planning on using it without a power cord, I suspect it would drain the battery like a vampire if I needed to.

Should be enough out there to see what the Pentium models can do, which is quite a lot. You can look at go 1 videos since those are similar in performance to the go 2 Pentium models.
2d drawing wouldn't need more than 4gb unless system requirements dictate.

Well, it can run 13 hours playing videos, dj controller ought to run a few without issues...

Lg g7 phone, Chrome browser, SEARCH ENGINE set to Bing.
Search " go 2 surface", find the link to the go 2 product page.
There is often 2 sections , the top couple of links that have an "ad" icon next to them, then the real links starting after those ad links, usually under the videos results. Click on the Go 2 link - should be the first "real" search result.
It says "have a special offer for you" in yellow, box to click in blue to configure.
I do clear cookies often, so it isn't tied to some special cookie or link.
