The primary constructive takeaway from my post was intended as: S10>>N200 and don't fall for 5G hype. You seem to hope that T-Mobile is doing something special with their 5G deployment... and while it differs from what Verizon does, that doesn't actually produce a better result nor could it meet the expectations built around 5G. I'll explore that below in case you're interested(?).

The distinction which launches the article I shared (which did center on Verizon) is the same for T-Mobile: the form of 5G which would provide the benefits touted by some sources is exceptionally rare. T-Mobile gives their own version of this which is fairly telling:

https://www.t-mobile.com/news/net...-and-speed

T-Mobile's TLDR is that:

AT&T is an open liar (i.e. 5GE is faux 5G)
Verizon has some work to do on expanding mmWave 5G
(And by extension delivering on the promise of 5G)
Please don't take notice that T-Mobile is also not delivering mmWave 5G
(Basically they talk a lot of trash about mmWave without highlighting the distinction on what it delivers: true, low-latency, gigabit 5G capacity)

While T-Mobile touts the expansion of mid-band 5G, you will notice no mention of a huge mmWave deployment of their own... because they don't have one. More specifically they have very little spectrum in that space and no significant plans for deploying it beyond the few high-density scenarios which will distinguish 5G for years to come: stadiums and high-density urban centers like the middle of Times Square.

https://www.fiercewireless.com/op...mall-cells

Instead what T-Mobile has done is dedicated more of their existing 4G LTE network to 5G in the same way they quickly repurposed their 3G network to 4G in a bid to maintain relevance in the 4G era. At the time, they lacked the desirable low-band real estate purchased by Verizon, but saw they could maximize the efficiency of the bandwidth they had. The way that plays out similarly today is a 5G network which provides an incremental efficiency improvement over the prior network configuration and whose growth is built upon mid-band spectrum acquired from Sprint.

https://www.wired.com/story/testi...n-edition/

Maybe some of this is interesting to someone(?).

Good luck!

The OnePlus N200 is probably better from the standpoint it has a Snapdragon and more importantly 1080p screen. It's also an IPS screen on the Nord.

The A32 only has a 720p screen and Mediatek processor.

Comparison:

The main advantage to the A32 is in theory it should have a physically better camera.

Isn't samsung a52 with number port in a good value for 100 bucks ? This phone retails for 500. You get 200 bucks off, 100 bucks in rebate after 3 months of 60 dollar plan.
Samsung a52 is hella of a mid ranger. But it's $100+$180, almost $300 when it's said and done.

I have T-Mobile Magenta plan with 6 lines @ $96 / month.

I did upgrade on 2 lines to the One Plus Nord via chat on app on 7/6. Gave the person my trade in phone info (MEID #). Did not have IMEI # on any of them so had to do via chat.

CSR waived all assist charges and also gave free 2nd day air UPS when I requested.

Later in the evening realized that I only got 1 email (with shipping label) for sending one of my old trade in phones back and did not receive anything for the other line. On logging into my account, I could find that promotion only got applied to 1 line and other line showed as if I was buying with monthly payments.

Call T-Mobile on 7/7/2021 and explained everything and told CSR that I have copy of chat from previous day. CSR generated a manual shipping label and took info on the 2nd trade in phone. Said that my account will reflect the promo on 2nd line shortly.

Shipped both my trade in phones on 7/7/2021.

No changes on my account on 7/8/2021.

Did a chat thru messenger with T Force and explained everything again. CSR said it was a mistake by the 1st CSR agent to not properly process the order. So she removed the entire payments on the 2nd line and made the phone free right away.

Went ahead and did upgrade on 2 more lines with her and she processed them without any assist fee and free 2nd day shipment.

So I have received 2 phones so far and should receive 2 more today. My account reflects the EIP on 3 lines only and each has the correct promo displayed. The 4th line shows no EIP and no promo.

Thanks Slickdeals!!

Been using this for a few days and like it way better than the A32, which I returned. Runs better, can actually hold a signal and opens apps 100% of the time so far. Battery life is about twice the A32's and is even better than my Moto G Power. I might have received a bad A32 but that phone was terrible. Been pleasantly surprised by the N200 so far.

Now I just need to figure out how to send a phone back to T Mobile. They haven't provided a packing slip, address, or any info about what to do with my trade in even after I talked to CS about it.
Check your email. You should have received one from T-Mobile with the subject "Your order has been delivered", which will include a magenta button that says "Trade in your old device now". Log in to your account before clicking on that button, and you'll be able to access a page that provides the USPS shipping label.

For all those who are thinking of doing this in Costco (Direct Delivery) for the usual $30 rebate card,
I visited Costco kiosk yesterday (with 4 old flip phones for trade-in details/inspection etc) and after 30 minutes spending there in searching for this offer in their system and then that lady talking to her boss etc, the final conclusion was their offer (even for Direct Delivery) was only for "Magenta Plus or other premium plans" !
Even though I have T-Mo One plan and am eligible for online upgrade with this offer, Costco couldn't do it for me so I had to come back home and do it online !!!
Just FYI !

Edit: If anyone had done it Costco, pls do let us know if you could find the offer in their system and what's the name of the offer (or some offer code if possible).

Costco is like third party. You can do it in tmo store and call customer service to refund you the 30 service fee.

Can you do this more than once per account? For example, if there are 3 lines on the account and you've traded in one phone for one of these, can you do it a second time under one of the other lines? I have an old Galaxy SIII mini that is essentially worthless but turns on.
Limit 4. So yes, you can do it a second time on another line.

I have an old and grandfathered plan, will they force me to upgrade to get a 5G phone, I don't care about 5G, just want to get a newer phone. I know newers phones can work with a 4G sim card. but wondering if the carrier will force people to switch.
We are grandfathered in and just received a letter from T-Mobile that we must purchase a 5G by 12/31/21 or we will be dropped. I'm fine with the phone I have now but it's not 5G, it's 4G. I'm not buying this phone as the one I currently have has 128GB internal storage. This one shown, only has 64GB. Hoping I can hold out til BF as that is an excellent time to buy phones.

im on a old sprint shared plan as well.
8 lines.
6 iphones (1 se2, 3 ip8, 2 ipsx)
2 lg v50

i received a letter ~ 2-3 weeks ago saying that the SPECIFICALLY the 2 x lg v50 phones are not compatible with TM. (note it does not say anything of the 6xiphones)

and by 12/31/2021 will need to get a compatible device.

so it my understanding is the phones do not have to be 5g.
simply compatible.

also note: the v50 *should* be compatible.
i am unclear on why it is not.
right now on sprint sim , i see volte enabled, and i can make a call and surf at the same time.

T-Mobile has the best 5G coverage.. Verizon 5G is faster. But you have to be very close to a cellphone tower to get that speed.. Verizon 5G dos not have the range or coverage that T-Mobile has.
Verizon may have screwed up by going this route.. Verizon is way behind T-Mobile in 5G coverage.. Right now.. T-Mobile is kicking Verizon butt with 5G coverage..

If I get this deal, will it affect future trade in promos in the next few months when the iPhone 13s and s22 come out?
