It's kind of like Hollow Knight in some ways. It's an isometric action game with faster combat than HK. There is a ton of customization available with different weapons, bonuses and routes. Lots of replayability (that's kind of the idea) but it's executed really well. Similar level of difficulty overall (it's a hard game to master). Less about exploring, more about combat and then there's the interaction with NPCs that acts as the narrative (characters are excellent). Overall it's an amazing game and I would pay full price or more easily for it.

I played it on Switch and had no issues. It technically runs better on PC but if you've never actually played it on PC you probably won't be able to tell the difference. The only reason I can tell that the switch is a bit lower FPS (and occasionally has some FPS drops due to some crazy fights) is because I've watched videos of people playing on PC, but it didn't impact my experience.

I've put in 115 hours so far, and I'd never played a dungeon crawler/roguelike before. The story is addicting and the whole game play is well thought out. It made me interested in other roguelike games, but I don't know if any will be as good.

Switch controls are responsive and crisp. The only minor issue is that it's hard on the handheld screen to see if you're in lava, which can really destroy you as you start to crank up the difficulty settings. 10/10 recommended though. I'm well over 100 hours on it.

Damn. I would have totally picked it up at this price if it didn't just get announced to be coming to Game Pass in August. I'd still buy this on Switch if it ever dropped to $10 or less though.

As someone who has played hollow knight and this, this game is sooooo much more forgiving if you're a person who may play hours one day, but not again for a couple weeks. Hollow Knight made me eventually rage quit early in lol. I kept coming back to this and turned (I think it's called like "god mode" or something) it easier and beat it about 5 attempts later. I really didn't expect this game to be as fun as it was!

I have never played by rule warriors. I just bought both the BOTW expansion and Hades and would recommend Hades if you had to choose.

It took some time for me to get used to it; I never played a "rogue like" style game before; lot's of dying involved. But once I got used to the gameplay I really became engaged; and the story, voice acting and art direction are top notch!

I haven't played it yet I just bought it last night but this is more roguelike. How you like it depends on what type of games you like. I enjoyed BOTW expansion passes, even though they were a little difficult lol
