Where does it say "today only?" Are people mistaking 2021 for 2022?

I share my free 1 year Apple+ TV trial subscription with my boyfriend. We unlinked our Family Sharing, then he redeemed the code he received successfully, after some trial and error.

Mine will end in a month, and now his new trial will end on 10/17.

Thanks, I got 5 months of Arcade (had 3 months free previously), 3 months of TV+ (canceled the free trial before trying) and 1 month of Apple Music (previous but lapsed subscriber).

Was able to cancel all renewals now and they don't end now, but at the end of the trial length. Sweet deal!

I don't think it makes a difference on the sever side of Apple. I've had all the above services and only recently canceled my subscriptions, sometime earlier this year.
But the only one they shorted me on was the Apple Music.
I probably won't even bother using the apple music but it's nice to have the option even if for only a month and saving 9.99 🤷🏽 ♂️

Not sure if this has been answered yet, but I can confirm you can download the app on Roku and log in with your Apple ID. Have the app running on TCL TV and working fine.
