No, Tracfone uses Verizon network for it's service with their bundled phones, phone will not work with anything other than TF until it's unlocked.

If you want to get plan & later unlock you need to use sim included with phone.
You can always activate new phone & keep current number, balance will be totaled. Old phone will then be deactivated.
