I have a 73" and attaching this to the TV (per the instructions) for this size doesn't work. You can tell in the calibration steps when you adjust the "dots" that it can't see the edges of the TV. So I moved it away from the TV and the camera now sits on my center channel speaker looking back up and it can see the entire screen now. The color response got better though it seems a little delayed in matching what's on the screen. I need to play around with it some more and then make a more permanent mount for the current placement.

I'm on the fence for the same reason.
Without looking in too much - wonder if that is what is wrong with the videos like avatar and return of the Jedi in amazon reviews (5star glowing reviews) where the color isn't even close to anything on screen (bottom right in jedi - the glowing bright colors on am dark screen and the avatar showing completely different colors along top than the on screen orange yellow - would drive me nuts



That said think I have to be in for one or two to see for my self

I think the issue is that I believe this uses a camera placed at the top to read the screen to be able to determine the proper edge colors. I imagine the issue is the camera can't reach the edges correctly, so you'd end up matching the edge at around the 65" mark, not the 82" mark, so that the edges would be the wrong colors.

There are a few alternatives that use HDMI passthrough instead. I have a Lightpack 2 [lightpack.tv], but have it disabled currently because it was causing issues with the HDMI-CEC. I think these sorts of devices have been doomed to failure, as it seems every one has crashed-and-burned before it could become a stable product.

I wonder how bad the lag is. I do think this will work better than the HDMI models in my situation, as I use my Android TV most often, there is no HDMI signal to process for those feeds.

I have a 70 inch tv and ive tried calibrating it a lil over 3 times now... one side matches properly.. the other side i am guessing because the cam cant see the blocks... it works but calibrating is my only issue.. which is no big deal after is done..

I'm eager to pick this up, but my tv is corner mounted and there is a huge window and drapes within 1/2" from the left side of the TV.

Think the lighting effects will be drowned and not worth it? Yeah, I know this is slickdeals and not the best place for technical advice, but perhaps someone has tried it within this thread.
