I'm an android guy but my family and relatives live by the Apple ecosystem so I own the XR for iMessage and FaceTime, as well as Airdrop. You really can't go wrong with the XR or the SE2020 if that's your jam, as I find these two models to be the best bang for buck iPhone for the general audience.

Will this work with T-Mobile using rsim? Not sure cdma vs gsm will have issues?
Using rsim15 on Lycamobile and it's working fine through a few iOS updates.

can r-sim unlock both sim lot 1 and e-sim ?
No, it can't. Rsim is a soft unlock. The phone must be officially unlocked in order to unlock the esim.

I've been using Total Wireless since December 2020 (based on a prior SD deal on the same XR) and find their 3-4 line family plans to be the best bang for the buck. 4 lines w/100 gb data (shared) for $100. Once or twice a year Target will discount those prepaid 4 line plans about 10 percent - less with redcard. So basically paying $85.50 for 4 lines and a ton of data, no additional taxes or anything. Also their rewards program is good for some occasional free service.

My coverage has been better than my prior Sprint service.

I do have a referral code which is good for 6000 Total Wireless points for the person being referred (good for one month of free service with 5gb for with some reward points left over). Not sure if it is against SD rules to post the code directly, so please PM me if anyone is interested in the rewards referral code.

Bought a reconditioned xr when I came across the earlier thread for the 2020 se.

Received the phone about a week later. Looks and functions like new. Battery health 100%. Used nyturbo unlock sim and got it to unlock to use with my daily gsm sim immediately. Never even activated the total wireless sim because I removed it before turning on the phone.

I'd imagine this is the same. Tempted to get another.

Se2020 has poor battery life. I would only use that as back up phone. Xr is better but A12 bionic is old now.

Which carrier are you using? And which sim did you buy? I see two sims from Nyturbo website.

I think I ordered too many phones from them because now every time I try to order it says my payment method was declined. IIRC this is their way of saying you ordered too much already. Tried several cards, new cards etc and my bank is definitely not declining the purchase. This has been going on for weeks.
Big deal change your address and have it delivered else where

Ultra mobile. The carrier doesn't really matter once the phone is soft unlocked.

NYTurbo Unlock SIM (note the spaces I intentionally added):
