I think I ordered too many phones from them because now every time I try to order it says my payment method was declined. IIRC this is their way of saying you ordered too much already. Tried several cards, new cards etc and my bank is definitely not declining the purchase. This has been going on for weeks.

Sprint…. You cant compare that with any other carrier
My concern was going from a "carrier" with roaming and priority over MVNO carriers to an MVNO. At least from Sprint/Tmobile to a Verizon MVNO, my experience has been good so far.

Hopefully this has the old packaging and includes the charger box and cable. I had ordered a brand new space grey xr from one of these prepaid companies, I think it was total wireless, and the xr came in the new packaging. Only the usb-c to lightning cable was included. No charger box and no headset

I'm an android guy but my family and relatives live by the Apple ecosystem so I own the XR for iMessage and FaceTime, as well as Airdrop. You really can't go wrong with the XR or the SE2020 if that's your jam, as I find these two models to be the best bang for buck iPhone for the general audience.
I'm in the same boat... android guy living amongst sheep Peace

How do you do it? Do you carry around 2 phones with 2 different numbers? Do you use your iPhone number for family, and your Android number for others?

Thanks for this. I'm new to "soft unlocking" and there seems to be a lot of options like gevey, Rsim, and now this. It's hard for me to understand the differences. From what I see on nyturbo's website, it will unlock the iPhone for gsm networks, but not Verizon and Sprint (or their MVNOs). Is this true? I question it because their website says it won't unlock Total Wireless iPhones, but apparently they do.

This is still a good phone for 2021 right? I mean, it's what, three years old at this point?

Still a great phone. I had one since launch, it could have lasted another 2 years. Still had excellent battery life because of the huge battery in it. I wanted to go back to a small
phone so switched to the 12 mini on one of the Visible deals ($480) which I love, but if you're looking for a phone with a large screen at a great price, it's a great one!

That was my fear. Total Wireless is a Verizon MVNO so I wasn't confident the NYTurbo unlock would work. I read the limitation on their website after the unlock SIM shipped, so I had no choice. I can confirm myself that my XR from Total Wireless worked with the NYTurbo unlock SIM, and I am now using a SIM from a TMobile MVNO.

What I think NYTurbo's limitation mean is that it won't work on a Verizon or Sprint specific phone but I am not sure nor am I willing to find out.

I believe that only means you can't unlock it to work on Verizon/Sprint (or their MVNOs), not that you can't unlock a Verizon/Sprint locked phone.

Personally experience is I couldn't get RSim to work with Verizon Red Pocket but the same RSim works on AT&T Red Pocket.

Some people got RSim to work on Verizon and their MVNOs so YMMV.
