Old iPhone7 it replaced lasted closer to 7.
That said, it looks brand new, came w/ wired headphones and a power adapter...still a great deal for a slightly older iPhone that'll last a few more years of Apple OS updates (surprised they didn't cut off the iPhone7 w/ iOS 15).

So from what I am reading on unlock possibilities, in theory, I should be able to use a source as previously posted to unlock the phone from its current carrier, avoiding the 12 month locked to carrier restriction? In turn could i move this phone to my Xfinity plan as a bring your own? Actually it's to replace an iPhone 7 and would like to keep the number and line, so should I be able to just move the sim from I7 to XS? Thoughts?

Yes you can after unlock with nyturbo or rsim. But note that it is a soft unlock. If somehow you have to do a factory reset, you will need to unlock it again.
