I think I ordered too many phones from them because now every time I try to order it says my payment method was declined. IIRC this is their way of saying you ordered too much already. Tried several cards, new cards etc and my bank is definitely not declining the purchase. This has been going on for weeks.

That seems odd. I've purchase both reconditioned, and new phones from Total Wireless before and the recondition ones were always boldly labeled **RECONDITIONED** in the description.

Are you sure?

Can you enter the referral code before activation or must you wait until and after the phone is received?

After you receive the phone, activate it first, then there is option to join free reward program. After you join, it leads you to the dashboard where there is an input box to provide the referral code. Feed it the code, done you have 8000 points. But try to get the referral code from creditable sources as some of the codes worth less than 8000 points.

For those that are unaware, Total Wireless uses Verizon's network and has 5G coverage.

For a single line I think the best value is the $90 for 3 months (so $30/month) that comes with 5GB per month then unlimited 2G speeds, hotspot, unlimited talk and text.
Prices are cheaper and you get more data with 2, 3 or 4 lines of course.

Here's a link to their prices:
Total Wireless plan prices and points list [totalwireless.com]

If you are referred you will get 8,000 points

That's worth $80 of service with no BS strings attached except you need to keep service with Total Wireless for 61 days for the points to be available.

2500 points gets you the $25 plan
3500 points gets you the $35 plan (5GB with hotspot)
9000 points gets you the $35 plan for 3 months

Do the math, it's pretty crazy what they are giving away with these points.
But I'm not gonna lie, the customer service can be bad.

For clarity, not all codes give 8000 points. They give 5000, 6000 or 8000 depending on how many people the referrer has referred. If you are their first then you get 5000 points. Two through 4 gets 6000 points, And the fifth and higher get 8000 points.

That's right. You need at least 5 referrals completed before the referral code worths 8000 points.

I tried to point that out in an earlier post and it was deleted. Either it was because I posted how much mine was worth or because I used the Wink smiley

That is right, and you need to enter the referral code within 14 days of activating you new line. Codes can be had over at Reddit.com/r/totalwireless where you can also find me and some other regulars offering help with any problems you may encounter. Welcome to the group.

Yup, they call that self promotion and it is unbecoming as well as not allowed. I generically point people to the totalwireless group on Reddit where many people post their referral codes. There are a few groups there that post referral codes and some have active members that actually help others with questions or problems they may have.

Do I have to use the phone for 12 months to get it unlocked like Cricket Wireless or can I just activate the number and put the sim in a different phone ?

I'm assuming nyturbo and rsim13 are the same because both appear to be in a plain white SIM card card.
I purchased the rsim 13 last month.

I just 'soft unlocked' an iPhone SE 2nd gen that they had for $100 and it's working fine for tmobile. I will test it out over the weekend on the iPhone XR from this deal that I purchased for my uncle, he has Ultra mobile prepaid service. I hope it works fine.

I will start worrying about it if it is not shipped out by the end of today.
