There's a review of the 1 TB S31 at Tom's Hardware, see https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...-us-market

Their Verdict:
Quote :
SK Hynix's Gold S31 is a top SATA SSD pick. With performance figures of up to 560MBps, it trades blows with some of the best and is competitively priced.

If u have a game console u can use the ones 250gb and up as a external drive for extra game storage. Another good use for them is if you have any android tvs or boxes you can use them on those for extra os storage to save more apps. I used all my lower sized drives this way so they didn't goto waste.
Buy an external enclosure with a USB 3 connection (cheap) or a USB Type-C connection that will support your drive, and you can make a big flash drive out of it - will be faster than a typical drive and a lot bigger.
I paid this much for a 120GB drive not long ago. I feel old.

I currently have various 128gb, 256gb, 500gb, 1tb 2.5 ssd installed in different PCs(and laptops) in the house, they were purchased in a span of near a decade, now I have no idea what to do with those smaller drive once I upgrade to a bigger one...

Been very happy with my nvme from SK I got last year. Everything I've heard is that they are the best power and performance for the money.

I've had one of these as the boot drive in an older desktop for the past 6 months (replacing a 7 year old Intel 730). No complaints at all.

Good deal. But the recent Samsung Evo 870 was a better deal for $10 more.

Might be slightly faster but one in stock and the other isn't

Any thoughts as to whether any or all of these SATA III SSDs will be on sale on Amazon Prime Day?

Wondering the same. In the midst of storage type transition, mid-priced small space SATA SSDs seem iffy, as do standard-priced 1-2TB size.
