This Nintendo Switch dock is the dock that is included with each Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch dock allows the user to display Nintendo Switch game play on the television. This item is to add an additional dock to easily move the Nintendo Switch between multiple televisions. AC Adapter and HDMI cable needed for complete set up.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this refurbished dock is always $39.99. I have been scouring the internet for one of these, and I believe it's been in stock and at this price for months.

I can't say I have checked frequently on this particular item but as far as it being in stock I suspect it may be an uncommon or even rare occurrence. Plus it's hard to find the official dock anywhere anymore.

It is always $39.99, but it is out-of-stock more often than not. If you want a second dock, this is the best place to get it, though. I tried to score a used one on eBay for a while and all I got for my trouble was a very convincing fake (until I opened it and looked at the PCB). $39.99 seems like a lot for what it is, but it's about on par with used ones on eBay, and at least with this one you're getting it straight from Nintendo with a 90 day warranty. I got one a few weeks ago (refurb, from Nintendo) and it's in perfect condition.
Back when there were reports of third party docks bricking switches, I bought an extra official dock and transferred the internals to a smaller shell. Still take it with me when I travel: https://imgur.com/gallery/MRvAo
Use the official Nintendo adapter for the dock. Nintendo also carries "refurbished" ones in this same site as the dock.
For charging tablet only you can use any other PD adapter.

I bought the Airmate one for $16.99 on Amazon back in March and have had no issues. Has 4500 reviews at 4.5
