I see it has 4 out of 5 stars out of 1200 reviews... Couldn't click to see the bad reviews. Anything in particular that stood out as a red flag to you?
I have what appears to be the same model for 2 years now. I use it to help cool the main part of the house- kitchen, living and dining rooms, hallway. The other AC is 12k BTU and 15 years old.
This little unit helps, but there's times where it feels like the compressor isn't running. It might work for 150 Sq ft, but probably not 24/7.

179 1 star reviews saying "don't buy" or "broke just after return window." Good price but probably spend $20 extra and get a more reliable brand.
Thanks. I just read some of the 1 star reviews and even when the product is working, it seems to be too loud or too weak anyways. I might go with the GE one that's sub $200 at Walmart.
Guys, I do not want to sound too negative but here is my take on this AC:
I have the very same exact model that I bought from Walmart just over a month ago. This AC is a complete PoS. the air flow is weak and the air itself at the exit/exhaust is not cold at all. It is cool at best and is very much reminiscent of a regular $10 fan blowing regular air.
It does not cool even a small room. It is a total waste of money.

I bought 3 arctic king 5,000 btu from Walmart 3 years ago...they still going strong! Worth it for the price. I think I paid like $140 each for them. They a bit more now, but they work, if you looking for an alternative.

that person is an idiot, all one has to do is to read the reviews . . . some are DOA, some arrive damaged, some don't like the nose . . . which to be expected. a lot of people buy this undersized unit and run it 24x7 trying to cool down the entire house in the middle of the summer.
in the winter this units is usually sold for $99, and for the price and what it can do it's not a bad deal at all. i got this unit couple years ago to cool down my garage during workouts . . . works great . . .
what people do not realize is that this is the only window unit sold this low, and only about 3-4 manufactures make all the AC in the USA. walmart is the only one who is able to negotiate the price this low.

I will be returning this PoS AC back to Walmart.
Probably just 2 screws!
