How's about a hefty duty silicone case to pair this with for a toddler who likes to throw tablets and smartphone?
Have you tried getting a new toddler?

yes it can.

I am not upgrading... SAME CPU!!!

Do you find it lacking?

I downloaded the app "KILLAPPS" from the play store and I run it every so often... I find it really helped keep my tablet running like it was brand new.

Sure more RAM would make things "slightly" smoother and will allow for more multitasking. But I would not do the upgrade just for more RAM.
Yeah, just for online manga, and a few tabs open. It wasnt particularly slow. I only used it for a few hours last year. Just that every house should have a tablet laying around, despite the fact that we may all have 6" phones.

Does this tablet work like an echo?
It can if you put it in "Show" mode. It will keep the screen on and perform all the functions of an Echo Show, including responding to the wake word "Alexa" or w/e you set it to. It's pretty neat if you want the content but don't want to pay for an echo show. Bummer is the built in Fire 10 speakers are not great for that use... You can be savvy and use a BT speaker or wired speaker for better sound.

Tried a bunch of times with Alexa, but the discount never appears in my cart....

Guess I'll have to wait until prime day.

I used the Alex App on my phone without much hassle (and quickly removed after). Do you use the app or different device?

Also, stacking the 20% trade in just open chat session with Amazon.

No GPS, that's my biggest gripe. I like to use it for aviation apps and no GPS is a big issue. I can use my phone and remotely use it, but a hassle to set up.

I've had problems with YoutubeTV too that uses GPS to help set location for local channels.

Watch the video, don't be scared of science
Your video doesn't tell me anything I don't know. It is trying to scare everyone by scaling these huge numbers.

Like I said... it costs less than a dollar extra per year to charge a mobile phone. Like I said, more money is wasted on USB cables and broken USB ports than that. So, it is a positive thing in my single scenario. It would be for everyone.

Every product in this world could have improved energy efficiency... so you can make this "harming the environment" argument for anything.
