I'm waiting for a deal on the Plus version of this 2021 tablet. It has 4 GB of RAM instead of 3 GB and adds wireless charging.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F6FYN6B

Interested to see if you can add a Trade-in on the web (save 20% and currently offering $30 more for my last generation 10" Fire Tablet) and then order with Alexa?

It looks like you can still load the Google Play Store on this new version of the tablet:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beC8NlF0H2w

I mostly use mine for consuming content bought on Amazon. Prime Video, Audible and a ton of paid apps that were free back in the long gone era of the Free App per Day for their app store. Kindle books with lots of graphics work better than on my Paperwhite.

Added to cart with Alexa and it shows the $70 discount but doesn't credit me for my 20% trade in or the $15 credit for using Amzn Photos. Can't use the $10 Discover promo either.

If you want one of the other colors:

Alexa, order a Denim Fire HD 10 Tablet.
Alexa, order a Olive Fire HD 10 Tablet.
Alexa, order a Lavender Fire HD 10 Tablet.

It's odd, my About Tablet settings shows HD FIRE 10 (10th Generation) but the box shows 11th generation.
That's a lot of people that I have seen say this.

Mine says 11th generation.

Thanks, but no. There are only two very simple questions that I was careful to answer. Amazon definitely lowered the trade-in value on my pristine "old" unit on me once I joined Prime.

Does the device work perfectly and hold a charge?
Yes

Are there any cracks/defects on the device or display?
No

We'll confirm the condition of your device once it's received. Choose how you'd like to proceed if we need to adjust its value.

Accept the adjusted value
The adjusted value is $15.00
that's because the adjusted value is if they get it back and it's NOT in the condition you attest.

I don't think apple is on the way down. I think some people like apple and some people like android. The simple fact that you can get a CHEAP android tablet... this could be the one reason why android has such a bigger market share.
i know that it's tempting to think that apple did not have the majority, but all you have to do is do a search on ios vs android. apple is only good at pushing new devices to market (under Jobs), but after some time they are not able to keep the majority of the market share. it's the same old strategy that is compliantly dependent on loyalty and Jobs. Jobs is no longer here to push new item and every single day apple is loosing people to android. only 13-15 years ago android market share was significantly blow apples . . . today android is almost 3x higher than IOS. look at the trend, in about 15-20 years apple phone would be no more, unless they do something else (risks that only Jobs was willing to take).

I can offer comparisons as I own the current 10+, last gen 10, & did own previous gen 10 too. I also own a 2020 iPad Air.

Again.... if you have a PC... XDA Amazon Tool Box is SUPER EASY. It disables all Amazon bloat ware, installs Nova Launcher and play store and Disney and Netflix. And so much more.
Can you guys, or anyone else, talk about ads vs no ads? Is it worth the $15 to disable them, or are they not a big deal? Are ads present everywhere, or just on the lock screen?

Edit: I looked up a video, and it looks like the amazon toolbox thing might allow you to disable them.

It is not worth it ($15.00), because you may get the adds disabled but you will still have a TON of bloatware.

If you want a pure android (stock android) experience... which I think is the VERY BEST way to use android... you need to use XDA Amazon Tool Box (PC is required... you can use a friend's pc) to disable all Amazon Apps...............
I even disabled Amazon's keyboard and use gboard, I disabled Amazon's camera and use a high rating app, I disabled Alexa and use google assistant. The ONLY Amazon apps that I kept was the Kindle store and Amazon Prime Video.

I have not heard of one person who regrets using XDA Amazon Tool Box and you can always go back if you want.

And XDA Amazon Tool Box disables ALL ADDS. It also installs Nova Launcher (that pure Android Experience) it also installs Netflix and Disney AND MORE.

All; need some help. I have been an iOS user for years and need something to take some basic notes with a stylus and watch Youtube TV, Netflix (downloading shows) and Amazon prime downloading shows. How is this tablet for that? I have the iPad Pro but given the recent ios15 annoncements thinking of returning it.

I did update before checking so it's possible it said the same on mine as well before the update.

Guessing it was a glitch. Should be easy to tell if you have the new tablet or not. The new ones are quite a bit smaller

You also have to take into count... how many units are sold... yes in the very beginning.. HP Touchpad era... apple sold more then android... but once android caught up just a little and there became cheap Android tablets... Android took over the market share.

First Ipad was released on April 3, 2010... Android took over the majority of the market share during the 3rd quarter of 2012.
