Should I get this or the lg 65 oled for 1799.00
At bestbuy
If you are gaming, I would go with the Samsung. If you are watching movies, go with OLED. This years Samsung qn90 should have Mini-LED which gets it very close to LG OLED and with the AMD Freesync support it works great with an XBOX. Now I can say that OLED's look great gaming but are still darker. I notice this when I game on my OLED vs. my 2019 QLED. Grated things are different on the 2021 model so do the research. Rtings.com seems to do well with rating for certain purposes. This is just my 2 cents and everyone is entitled to their own.

Ordered with Galaxy Buds+, used cancel trick and got the 5% offer which took $89.77 off the TV and $4.32 off Buds.
So $1593.22 for TV
$76.67 for Buds
$1669.89 - 10% TCB = $1502 + tax
Also getting $35.15 in Samsung Rewards Credit.

Choosing this over the CX OLED mainly because of the added brightness since my living room is covered in windows and no burn-in. The single HDMI 2.1 port is a bummer but I plan to only use that for my PC anyways.

If doing the cancel trick, do it immediately after ordering to make sure you still have the opportunity to cancel. You aren't actually cancelling the order, it's just triggering the "do you really want to cancel" 5% offer that is easy to accept.

Go with the LG OLED. It's a consistent winner over QLED in general and much less bloatware installed than Samsung tvs.
depends where you are putting the tv. if there is too much light in the area or open windows. OLEDs reflection on the tv might bother you. QLED has brighter screen and doesnt that reflective.

you made a great choice because of those windows in the living room. samsung definitely beats LG CX in anti reflection if not in pictures quality. you don't want to see reflection of your windows in LX CX entire day

LG Oled is designed to handle gaming just fine. Unless you are playing gaming or a news channel like 12 hours a day endlessly, it's unlikely you see burning. Even still, I have read some random reports that LG is pretty lenient with its standard warranty and will agree to replace your display once for free if it gets burn in within first few years. It still makes sense to get an extended warranty when buying a TV this expensive to cover the burn in just in case. Furthermore, the C9 65 that I have was a Best Buy floor model that had 4500 hours already on it. I'm now at 7k hours after more than a year of ownership and no issues. Still looks as sharp as the newer floor models.

Like any TV, taking care of it is important. Oled is more sensitive to sunlight since it is organic so obviously don't put in some room that gets very hot or direct sunlight through the windows. Otherwise, you'll be fine.
You don't buy a tv to Baby it, unless it's an Oled……. I would not recommend an Oled for any living room unless you have money to burn.

Countless videos proven while gaming Oled TVs dims the screen to prevent burn in, happens mostly in sports games with a lot of static images and that's not even including ABL that happens with every Oled as well.

I own both and this topic always comes up….. For gaming I recommend a top tier Led tv vs an Oled, for movie watching I prefer the Oled as the perfect contrast ratio simply makes movies look near perfect as intended by the film makers.

This Samsung is an excellent tv, I want the 85" version. Doesn't seem like Samsung discount is working for Military/Veterans

Picked up the 55" version with the same deal (buds+, $20 trade, and "thought I might cancel but didn't").

It just came today and OMG! - I'd be hard pressed to notice a difference between this Neo QLED and an OLED in in a moderately lit room. I'm sure the OLED would edge it out in dark room, but I needed it for a sunlit kitchen and wheeling it outside to a deck every now and again.

I was hoping "The Terrace" would drop (way) below $2K, but the QN90A is as bright or brighter than the Terrace and has great anti-reflection. I just won't leave it outside (probably for the best anyway).
