Even if the curve is something of a gimmick the gun itself is great and fairly large for its price point.
Nerf is hyping the new "Hyper" series of guns that use a smaller faster balls. This uses the older - but still very capable and cheaper "rival" balls. Holds 12 rounds.

In his defense the roundhouse was $10 through Tuesday.
Although realistically anything in 10 to 15 dollars for rival is a pretty good deal.
Sometimes kids just like a different colors.
The only two rivals to avoid for sure are Finisher, and Apollo.
Finisher because of constant jamming, and Apollo because of the top cocking mechanism that is annoying and slow.
