It's a tight fit for the Prestige 14.
Ugh… this is what I'm afraid of… Newegg customer service isn't the best either.
And I opened a ticket with MSI, as well, and received a one-sentence response - "Talk to where you bought it from." I get it, but that doesn't make it less annoying. I buy a product that's broken and then it's my job to go out of my way and send it back without a reasonable solution in the meantime. Won't be shopping at Newegg or buying anything MSI again.
Oh, and BTW, it gets hot and the fan is loud as f***. And this is coming from someone who really couldn't care less about those two things typically, but yeah it's pretty bad.
AND, I tried to update everything from the "Driver and App Center" that comes preinstalled. Nearly every single driver and utility fails to download. What a tremendous piece of crap.
The heat/fan issue can be addressed with thermal paste and thermal pads, but you shouldn't have to. The 14" only has one fan vs two on the 15", which already puts this laptop behind the curve heat wise. There are also design decisions that were made based on the space given that factor in...but yeah..this laptop is cheap for a reason.
I've also heard horror stories about Newegg AND MSI support and QC.

After setting up, I undervolted the CPU -100.6mv and changed the GPU frequency curve to a flat 1400mhz. I also ran windows debloat.
It's been a dream. Completely silent on regular tasks. Fan speed is still reasonable on more intensive apps.
The screen is amazingly clear and bright and it's nice to have usb c charging
I would agree though that Newegg sucks. I would only order from them as a last resort. Unfortunately no one else price matched this item.
