I'm curious if anyone is interested in buying the 4K version of a film when they've already seen the Blu-ray version.
These movies have been out long enough where I'm sure most here has seen most if not all of them.
Really depends on your setup, and each movie.
Some of them, like the Bond films, are almost identical to the Blu-Rays (both in terms of audio and video), others are a significant difference (I recall Matrix and LOTR/Hobbit being big improvements)
If you have a 65" OLED and a surround system, you'll benefit much more than if you have a Walmart 50" 4K tv and built in speakers.
Some of these films were released many years ago on Blu ray without any remastering since. The newer 4k's were re-scanned and remastered (so often color timing is better, and video is cleaner), plus the added resolution (4x over Blu ray), the HDR and the Atmos audio (opposed to 5.1/7.1)
Can take 2 days to get the $10 most of this will be gone!
Ordered the $40 worth of gift cards yesterday, and my credit has already been added to my account as of about an hour ago! Was able to apply it to more Prime Day deals.

Well you could say the same about blu ray if you already saw it on DVD.
I'm pretty sure most people that bought the BD version again(over DVD) was because the PQ & AQ was "better", the same holds true from BD to 4K.
Many will argue that the difference/jump isn't as big but IMO a big reason is we made a big leap in display quality AND content quality back at the time with BD.
I agree with NSXMK3 that a lot of it has to do with your equipment and transfer of the movie.
I would even add that the player's ability to process HDR thru tone mapping and upscaling plays a major role also.
Even when he said "a surround system", as he pointed out with OLED, there is a difference between an entry level "surround system" and a reference one.
IMO the bigger "jump" with 4K isn't PQ it's the AQ. Object Based codecs is a big jump IF done properly.
The problem is it's not easy to setup in the average home and requires all reference equipment(ie speakers) for top end performance.
Most people have never heard a proper object based setup so their point of view is skewed.
It doesn't help that many people are more concerned with aesthetics and convenience rather the quality nowadays.
Streaming is the big thing now, unfortunately you sacrifice "quality" with it, especially on the AQ side.

Check out criterion catalogue and compare movies you watched before. The transfers are soo much better, now they're doing 4k remasters of negatives(albeit reformatted to bluray1080)

I believe it is still being actively filmed, so it most definitely might release
