I've been looking for a monitor to pair with an Xbox Series X along with home work and this seems like the best deal so far. 1440P 144hz IPS with an LG-made panel, from what I can tell.

It's a really good deal. $40 less than the Dell S2721DGF which is only a little bit better.
Get it while you can.

No HDMI 2.1 if that matters to you.

I ended up cancelling my order. Apparently there are only select monitors that can do 1440P + 120hz + Adaptive Sync and this is not one of them. On the Xbox Series X, you either have to choose 1440P + 60hz + Adaptive Sync, 1440P + 120hz + no Adaptive Sync, or 1080P + 120hz + Adaptive Sync. Not that are there many games on XSX that can do 1440P @ 120hz, but it's a PITA to switch modes when you're going from a 60 fps title to a 120 fps one.

I really wish manufacturers were more transparent about this. I had to fish through a bunch of Reddit posts to find this out.

According to the Rtings link, this LG monitor can only do 100hz refresh rate over HDMI. If you expand on the refresh rate section you'll see the text.

I got this monitor last spring and it has been fantastic for both my PC and console. I currently have this connected to my PS5 via HDMI and am getting 120hz.

I was waiting for a deal on these FOREVER. I ended up biting on a Gigabyte G27Q for $250 each a few months back. Should I buy these? Rtings says the gigabyte is better but I don't know about monitors 🤷🏾.

I have the same G27Q and love it. I wouldn't bother switching. Plus I know the Gigabyte supports 120hz from the consoles after a FW update and this LG does not.

Dang Amazon representatives refusing to refund the price difference now that this is down to 284.99. Ugh just bought it less than 24 hours before it changed price.

Yeah, I dug into the rtings review hard and decided to keep the g27q. The Gigabyte has better input lag times, but the LG has better frame response times? I don't know all the mumbo jumbo, but I don't play FPS on PC so I don't really mind. And even if I did, the gigabyte has better input lag.

IMO thats ok. Just return it. Order the 2nd one thru the app and stack with this deal for an ADDITIONAL $15 off. And use the 6% cash back promo today with the prime card. MUCH better deal, and that unfortunate incident is a blessing in disguise.

I have this monitor and just want to clarify: this can 100% do 144hz at 144hz with Gsync ("compatible") on (via display port). No idea on HDMI, but, it isn't HDMI 2.1, so even VRR is out of spec.

So which one would you suggest?
