I have the previous version. I love it.

Main downsides:
-No ethernet port (this is use-case specific; I do a lot of networking and wish I had one)
-No TB3 support (this is a big bummer as direct access to PCIE lanes is very helpful QGeeM FTW)
-No USB-C charging (this is an annoyance as I'm waiting for the day when we can finally standardize on one port for everything!)
Small, lightweight, powerful. Intel constantly gets bogged down (no longer snappy); AMD doesn't. Love it!

Get a charger with folding plugs.
Great case: Lacdo 14 Inch Protective Laptop Shoulder Bag Sleeve Case

Model: FLEX-14API
Model Name: 81SS
AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Processor, 12GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB
Replaced NVMe with WD Black 1T (easy)
Paid $478 11-2019

There in no Intel equivalent directly as Intel U series maxed out to 4 Cores. Price wise, i5-1135G7 is equivalent which has 12% to 15% higher single core performance but 20% to 30% less multi-core performance.

250 nits, but I've had this is my cart for a few weeks in case it got lower on Prime Days for my son to use in high school. It should meet those needs wells enough. Thanks!

I hope I won't get lambasted for asking, but does anybody know what an equivalent Intel processor would be? I am not up on my AMD.

So decent processor for the price. Should be up to standard tasks and maybe a little more for quite some time?

Anyone has this? I have a specific question about the pen. During Powerpoint slide presentation, can you annotate without (clicking the bottom left corner + select pen option) first? (This is how the default Surface pen works)

It is more than decent and you can do a lot of demanding works on it.

Main downsides:
-No ethernet port (this is use-case specific; I do a lot of networking and wish I had one) [USB 3.0 dongles suck]
-No TB3 support (this is a big bummer as direct access to PCIE lanes is very helpful QGeeM FTW)
-No USB-C charging (this is an annoyance as I'm waiting for the day when we can finally standardize on one port for everything!) [That said, USB-C is still annoying as it doesn't 'seat' snugly compared to USB-A)
-Screen is a bit dim & bland.

Even with those downsides it is still an awesome laptop [Have Dell E7470, C940, Flex14, iPad(s), & desktop(s)]

So I have an older model of this, like 8 year older model, (may be a different flex version) and the main issue I have with it is the fan ramps up so quickly and never goes down. The heat then becomes and issue too and performance is awful. Do these newer flex have that same issue? If nots not an issue, this is a great deal.

This does have USB-C charging. It actually comes with a USB-C charger in the box.
