He refused to submit for replacement and since it is his word vs hers Hisense wouldn't authorize a replacement. Very disappointed in Hisense service and support. Now its a throwaway item after 5 months. Couldn't take back to Costco since past the 90 day return period.
What a waste. I bought a Hisense H8G back in February. I sure hope I don't have any issues with mine. So far so good.
Now very cautious about these low end TV brands.

I think I'll stick with that since it has bluetooth for headphones, and this does not. The Rtings for the 2020 Toshiba fire tv was a 6.6. This one is a 6.9. Not enough of a difference for me to lose bluetooth capability built in.

My Sharp (Hisense) 65" just died after 4 1/2 years. If I could buy a U8G from Costco or Sams, I'd probably go with Hisense again.

Thanks for your reply, she does not have a history of returning things to Costco so maybe that will help even though outside of the 90 day return period. I'll have her try.
Sucks that you get a 2 year warranty when you buy from Costco but the mfr doesn't support you well within the warranty period.
