I'd normally agree to buy original. However the original cables are so darn expensive, I can buy and throw away six of these vs one original apple cable. Even other name brand ones are higher but not as expensive as Apple.
I've been using generic cables for at least 6 years now and besides some having gone bad, there are no issues whatsoever.
I'm not saying these are good cables or anything, just that expensive name brand is not best option for everyone
