Try using the warranty and see what they say. I tried that with Greenpan on their Costco nonstick after the nonstick gave up the ghost within 6 months and they asked me a bunch of questions until they found one that they could reject the warranty under. Something like, "what is the highest level you've ever turned up the stove?" I answered, "medium high, but not often."
Wrong answer. They rejected the claim.
Do not invest a lot in nonstick. Get inexpensive to medium price because you'll need to replace it in 1-2 years tops. Spend more on your stainless cookware that will last a lifetime, and less on your nonstick for eggs and pancakes. The nonstick snake oil reinvents itself with some new micro-nano-ceramic-technology-thingawhatever every handful of years, and it never lasts longer.
I've got a bialetti i bought from bed bath and beyond 2 years ago. I crank the heat, every time. I use metal tongs for everything. They are still non stick if my husband washes them thoroughly. Eggs slide right out. They were $10 on black Friday, i think $20 regularly.

I could have, yes. I'm one of those people that does not feel very comfortable bringing in a bunch of pans with flame stains on the bottom and no box 6 months later to the retailer. I understand that it's a personality quirk. Had I kept the box, I would have brought them back so they could scan it.
That said, the manufacturer is supposed to handle warranty claims. With Green Pan, you would do well to skip them and go straight back to Costco as you suggested.

FYI, Italy might not have directly had them, but they sure as heck were part of the axis alliance w/ Germany and indirectly supported them. Mussolini was no saint.

I meant to get across that I did not feel comfortable doing it, not that they wouldn't allow me to. I'll just never buy Green Pan again or recommend them to anyone.
