I don't have this model but a similar one along with an elm. I prefer the stand alone since I usually just need a quick read of codes and readiness.

The elm does similar but works thru the phone, if that's what you prefer

Guessing it's more for iPhone users that can't connect with elm

They are ALL same item just rebranded differently. They all use the same software. Once the Chinese seller gets established with many reviews the price go up.

There's no support , inflated MSRP, no warranty even if they claim otherwise . It does work but only for basic stuff. For more complex things ex reseting your air bags you need to pay more and buy from a reputable seller

Agreed. But even the better ones are on sale. For instance Bluedriver, Maxidiag 806, crp123e, are all on sale.

Out of the 806 or crp123e which would you get? Also the mk808 almost $100 off. It worth the $200+ increase over the other two?

Dumb question. Will this thing read wheel sensor codes?

I bought the MD806 Pro [amazon.com] for $195 but honestly I'm pretty clueless about these devices. It's probably overkill for me and my two cars. I skipped the CRP123e because it couldn't perform battery registration which I expect to need for my wife's aging Beemer. The MK808 looks nice in that it can save multiple reports from different cars and send them to a printer - but that's definitely more useful to professional mechanics. I considered the MD806 (non Pro) for $160 but I like the extra scans of the Pro. I bought a Bluedriver a while back and although I was impressed I think the MD806 Pro is a nice step up.

Not a dumb question. Figuring out what each of these scanners can do is not easy. If you need a specific function for a specific car you need to search online and read thru a lot of stuff. Alternatively you can email the seller and ask if a specific scanner does what you need. You'll see hundreds of such questions on Amazon. What car model/year are you asking about?
