The one with 240hz refresh rate is 5 bucks less @ $279.99. Isn't that a better deal??

Both are IPS 240hz on that page is 1080
144hz is 1440

That one is 1080p. This one is 1440p, which many regard as the "sweet spot" for resolution and price at the moment. But if you don't need 1440p I'm sure that's a great monitor too!

Thanks for the post. I bought this earlier today when it was $299.99. I asked Amazon support for a refund on the price drop. They initially said no, but I whined and they said they'll refund me the $15 "this one time." Smilie

I personally would choose 1080p->1440p over 144hz->240hz any day, provided you have a graphics card that can sufficiently drive it.

Amazon would not price adjust when I ask. It's being delivered today so I'll just chalk up the $15 as one day shipping and stop thinking about it.

I bought this monitor last year and I love it. Okay, I actually bought two of them last year because the idea of having monitors that don't match exactly drives me crazy, but it's really unnecessary for almost everyone to have two 144Hz monitors...

Anyway, they look really great, definitely the nicest monitors I've ever had. There's one quirk that I've seen other people complain about too: If you switch the input to a docked Nintendo Switch, the display will be really screwy until you either change the resolution on the Switch back and forth, or take the Switch out of its dock and put it back in again. It's not a huge deal, but if you see yourself frequently changing between a Switch and something else, it might be annoying.

As mentioned in the other post, this monitor only supports up to 100hz VRR over HDMI at native settings. If you're using this for the Xbox Series X, you have to choose 2 of the 3: 1440P, 120 fps, or VRR, but not all three.

Manufacturers aren't disclosing this info in their product specs. The only list I found for monitors that support 1440P + 120hz + VRR over HDMI is this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxSeri...ga_thread/

Lowest was right before this was posted at $299 lol. Amazon pulled switch-a-roo. They shipped a ton instantly & then lowered the price minutes later

From what I've read, these monitors are VERY similar and the main difference is that the 850 has USB ports whereas this one doesn't.
