For anyone who cares, here's the math of best-case savings percentages on these tiers (best-case meaning you spend only the minimum required):

Get 15 when you spend 200 = 15 / 215 = 7.0 %
Get 25 when you spend 300 = 25 / 325 = 7.7 %
Get 70 when you spend 600 = 70 / 670 = 10.4 %

And yes, you have to include the future purchase in the calculation because these are credits, not discounts.

For Prime Members: Use the Amazon app and place orders totalling $600 today (6/22) and receive a coupon worth $70 back. $300 gets $25. $200 gets $15.

Click this link to check eligibility:
https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&...1423113011

If you are a Prime member and it does not show as eligible, uninstall your Amazon Shopping app, check eligibility again, and then reinstall the app.

Orders MUST be placed using the Amazon Shopping app. Only orders placed on 6/22 count. The spend can be spread across multiple orders. Coupon will be received through an app notification by 7/3.

Gift card purchases, fees, taxes, discounts, gift wrap and shipping and handling costs are excluded when determining the total amount spent. Customers will not receive credit for cancelled or returned orders.

Can amazon credit be used towards the purchase?
Depends what type of credit it is --

Gift card = Yes
AmazonCash = Yes
Promotional credit/offer = No

It looks like anything considered a "discount" will not count towards your price paid.

$59.99 item. If you pay with your $40 gift card, $10 promo credit (from yesterday, for example) and $9.99 on your credit card = considered $49 total

My chat with support confirmed with their supervisor that items shipping soon does not qualify.
The chat teams seem to always be hit or miss depending who you talk to, even supervisors. Best results are always if you can get a US-based person on the phone. They're probably all guessing at this point.

Since it doesn't say anything about "Items must be shipped within this time", I find it a bit iffy to believe what they said. Some items don't ship for a few days, even if in-stock. With that said, it's also a bit hard to imagine them just throwing out $70 to anyone with a bunch of open orders.

Agreed but my reply was in regards to temporarily out of stock items. Those don't charge until shipped so I think it's a fair warning to put out that there what the rep told me. At least for me pre-orders, subscribe and save etc doesn't seem worth the risk / hassle to find out on July 3rd that it didn't qualify.

Does any purchase count like sold by xxx but shipped from Amazon. Counts?

Or it has to be sold by Amazon?

No
The total value of your coupon reflects all orders placed using the Amazon app during the offer period. See bottom of page for full terms and conditions.

Has to be Sold and Shipped by amazon. Sold by XXX shipped by Amazon = Doesn't count

Thanks!
I have a bunch of open preorder anyways, so it wasn't too much hassle to cancel them all and re-order. If it works, great! But I don't have $600 worth of stuff I want to buy right now besides that, so hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

I've been able to resist the Amazon warehouse (25% off) deals. But if I could knock another 70 dollars off, I'm tempted. Do we know if Amazon Warehouse is included? I would assume yes?

I don't think that's correct for qualifying (i.e. today's purchases). It looks like any purchase counts.
To use the coupon, yes like most of these it will need to be Shipped & Sold by Amazon.

I assume protection plan cost does not count in the final total

Your math is off
No, my math was correct for the clear reason I stated in my post.

Do you save 70 on a 600 purchase and only pay 530? No. You get 70 off a future purchase of 70+ after you spend 600+. You cannot use the 70 credit without multiple purchases totalling at least 670. That means you save 70 off of 670 minimum, not 600. And 70 / 670 = 10.4

So, once again:

Get 15 when you spend 200 = 15 / 215 = 7.0 %
Get 25 when you spend 300 = 25 / 325 = 7.7 %
Get 70 when you spend 600 = 70 / 670 = 10.4 %

They were right, you are wrong. You made the typical mistake of treating this as a direct discount which it is not.
It's particularly frustrating when you even preemptively explain why your non-intuitive arithmetic applies.

Looks like you're right! I saw the "Sold and Shipped by Amazon" image on their page, but that's only for redeeming the $70 coupon.

It seems any purchase, whether shipped by amazon or not would quality.

In most cases, Amazon considers "Amazon" and "Amazon Warehouse Deals" to be 2 totally different companies. In this specific one, it looks like they are actually counting ANY order from any seller towards the $600.

YMMV on if the $70 coupon will work on warehouse deals, but that's a different question

I believe if the protection plan is considered an item you add to cart, then yes - it will count
