Eligible Prime members who make a purchase in the Amazon mobile shopping app in the offer period are eligible to receive a coupon for up to $70 USD in Amazon credit. Customers who (i) spend $200 USD will receive a coupon for $15 USD, (ii) spend $300 USD will receive a coupon for $25 USD and (iii) spend $600 USD will receive a coupon for $70 USD, to use towards purchases on Amazon in accordance with these terms.
Gift card purchases, fees, taxes, discounts, gift wrap and shipping and handling costs are excluded when determining the total amount spent. Customers will not receive credit for cancelled or returned orders.
US customers only. To be eligible, customers must receive notice of this offer directly from Amazon through the Amazon website or email and visit the campaign page on June 22, 2021. Customers who are forwarded this offer from parties other than Amazon are not eligible for this offer.
Amazon will provide a notification that indicates the dollar amount of the coupon received based on the total amount spent, excluding gift card purchases, fees, taxes, discounts, gift wrap and shipping and handling costs. Get 15 when you spend 200 = 15 / 215 = 7.0 %
Get 25 when you spend 300 = 25 / 325 = 7.7 %
Get 70 when you spend 600 = 70 / 670 = 10.4 %
And yes, you have to include the future purchase in the calculation because these are credits, not discounts.

If you are a Prime member and it does not show as eligible, uninstall your Amazon Shopping app, check eligibility again, and then reinstall the app.

I cancelled an item I ordered yesterday.. went to re-order, saying it can't be shipped to my address? But it could yesterday?

I think it is a bad error message when there's limited stock of something? I've seen other sites like Best Buy do the same thing.

I had to speak to Amazon customer rep via the phone THEN request a supervisor. Then explain the situation again just to have them come back and tell me the exact same thing!
HOWEVER since I've been a "loyal customer" for years I got a $50 credit towards my purchase and a $20 discount on my membership.
YMMV
1) Cancelling a preorder/unshipped order should not count negatively towards your account at all
2) Cancelling a "preparing for shipment" order (they might not be able to cancel it, but they'll try) MAY count negatively towards it, but probably not.
3) Cancelling a shipped order (fulfilled by amazon) where they return it to sender MAY count negatively towards your account
4) Returning an order once received DOES count negatively towards your account (as do asking for discounts on orders via chat/phone)
If you have 20 preorders and cancel them, then re-order 20 of them.. you're fine.
If you have 20 orders that are delivered and you're returning them to re-buy again, you'll probably have an issue
Since Prime Day has a LOT of 3rd party sales from non-amazon sellers, it would make a lot more sense that you could order from anyone (but have to use that $70 with amazon). I would wait until July 3rd, and if it comes to it.. go to them again with a screenshot of the page and they'll likely credit your account
Do this for too many items and Amazon will flag, then close your account. In many cases, they will not reinstate it either.
Now, if the items have not shipped yet, this should be perfectly ok.

I wouldn't consider their chat people to be knowledgeable on the subject. Most of them just kind of wing it (but with confidence). Since most promos DO need to be Shipped/Sold by amazon, they probably spread that info as if it were fact.

It says in-stock and was deliverable yesterday... my only guess is that certain items (like this one) must be in stock regionally?
I suggest re-ordering, then cancelling the old... in that order.
