Immediately bought the 128GB S21 Ultra and cancelled my order for the 256GB one from yesterday. Hopefully I'll get both the 6% through Amazon card AND the $70 from this promo. A bit sad to lose 128GB for $25 + tax but $70 is worth more to me and I'm pretty sure I'll get by with just 128GB.

My total out of pocket is still $200 + tax and NOT $215
Is it 10 / 90 = 11.1% ?
No. Obviously that would be dumb. You don't divide a coupon's value by your "out of pocket". You divide it by the total purchase required to use the coupon:
10 / 100 = 10 %
Now imagine instead of a $10 off $100 coupon, Walmart gives you a $10 gift card after spending $100. Now you don't save ANYTHING on the $100 purchase, so your "out of pocket" is $100 instead of only $90. The only way to benefit from the gift card is to make ANOTHER purchase.
Stay with me here, this is the tricky part. Since you're required to BUY MORE in that second scenario to receive the benefit of the gift card promotion, would you be saving more money or less, as a percentage of the promotion's required spending?
Really think about that question for a minute.
Getting a credit for $Y after spending at least $X is mathematically equivalent to getting a coupon for $Y on a total purchase of $(X+Y). That should be painfully obvious from how I just explained it. Therefore the $10 gift card would give a savings of 10 / 110 = 9%.
I don't care about the coupon/discount accounting the retailer plays with.
If I buy a stock at $200 cash and I get a dividend of $15 later my dividend/coupon return is 15/200 not 15/215
That is just monkey coupon math and clearly not how it works in a wider world.
But I guess you are entitled to your own math (:
I guarantee if you took an 11% coupon to a store and brought a $100 item to the register, if only $10 came off the total you'd throw a fit.
If I was the cashier I could just show you this thread and say "But sir, only $90 is coming out of your pocket, so a $10 discount IS 11% of $90, just like you explained here on this SlickDeals post..."

From my perspective who spends/invests cash, I only care about my OUTLAY
If some brokerage had first stock BOGO promo and I bought 1 stock @ $200 and got a second one on the house and then a $15 dividend on each, my instantaneous return on MY investment would be 30/200 or 15% dividend return on MY cash
At some point y'all have to grow outta of that couponing math… but maybe not(:
