Wow, I can't believe I saw this deal only just now.

Immediately bought the 128GB S21 Ultra and cancelled my order for the 256GB one from yesterday. Hopefully I'll get both the 6% through Amazon card AND the $70 from this promo. A bit sad to lose 128GB for $25 + tax but $70 is worth more to me and I'm pretty sure I'll get by with just 128GB.

Nope no go for me. Says only for Amazon fulfilled only. It doesn't state that on terms.

Damn! I spent at least $200 today and just ran across this. Will it count if I activated the deal after placing the orders?

I placed $303.00 worth of items into 1 order. Now they're all showing up as individual orders. It's supposed to show the whole order in the invoice if I recall correctly.

Thanks immensely for sharing this. Like a lot of us I spent a ton of money yesterday on a computer and accessories. Over $1000. One thing I bought was an Apple M1 Mac Mini which was on sale for $599.99, $100 off. And it arrived already this afternoon. But I didn't open it yet. So I just bought another one and will return the 1st one. Because if was 1 cent below the $600 I also bought a $5 mouse. It would have been nice if the $70 was deducted from the total or we were given instant credit so we could use it on all the items on sale today. Oh, well. We'll have until July 24th to use the credit. Too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks again.

Worst Prime Day EVER!!! You suckers getting excited for this crap...pffft. Smh
I spent about $1100 and saved close to $450 including this offer on top of the line computer equipment. I am happy about that. Top of the line equipment isn't "crap". If you're not happy with the offer or interested better to move along rather than put people down.

I did well too. Purchases totaled around $1900, all promos and discounts dropped it to around $1300. That gets me the $70 as well as the 6%. I just bought a house a couple months ago and had a huge shopping list, so this put a nice dent in that and I saved a decent amount while doing it.

Yes my second Oder is exactly $15 + tax and I use that $15 credit to cover that fully.

My total out of pocket is still $200 + tax and NOT $215
So, hypothetically, if you receive a $10 off $100 coupon for Walmart, and you use it on a purchase of exactly $100 so your "out of pocket" is $90, what calculation would you use to figure the percentage savings of the coupon?

Is it 10 / 90 = 11.1% ?

No. Obviously that would be dumb. You don't divide a coupon's value by your "out of pocket". You divide it by the total purchase required to use the coupon:

10 / 100 = 10 %

Now imagine instead of a $10 off $100 coupon, Walmart gives you a $10 gift card after spending $100. Now you don't save ANYTHING on the $100 purchase, so your "out of pocket" is $100 instead of only $90. The only way to benefit from the gift card is to make ANOTHER purchase.

Stay with me here, this is the tricky part. Since you're required to BUY MORE in that second scenario to receive the benefit of the gift card promotion, would you be saving more money or less, as a percentage of the promotion's required spending?

Really think about that question for a minute.

Getting a credit for $Y after spending at least $X is mathematically equivalent to getting a coupon for $Y on a total purchase of $(X+Y). That should be painfully obvious from how I just explained it. Therefore the $10 gift card would give a savings of 10 / 110 = 9%.

yeah exactly. You paid 200 out of pocket to get 215 worth of goods. Therefore you paid 93% of the value of the goods, or 7% discount as ripper correctly calculated.
To preserve my sanity, if this post doesn't satisfy him, I give up.

Is there any way to know you've successfully met the terms for this offer? Do we just have to wait for an email from Amazon to arrive sometime between now and 7/24 (when the terms say the promo certs expire)?

I clicked to view the offer because I wanted to screenshot it and now it says I'm not eligible. Yesterday I saw the offer. I hope that's because I qualified and already have the money coming to me. Anyone else see this who purchased enough to qualify?

Yes I only care what hard cash comes OUT of my pocket.

I don't care about the coupon/discount accounting the retailer plays with.

If I buy a stock at $200 cash and I get a dividend of $15 later my dividend/coupon return is 15/200 not 15/215

That is just monkey coupon math and clearly not how it works in a wider world.

But I guess you are entitled to your own math (:
So when you spend $90 using a $10 coupon on a $100 purchase, that was an 11% coupon because only $90 came out of your pocket and 10/90 = 11%.

I guarantee if you took an 11% coupon to a store and brought a $100 item to the register, if only $10 came off the total you'd throw a fit.

If I was the cashier I could just show you this thread and say "But sir, only $90 is coming out of your pocket, so a $10 discount IS 11% of $90, just like you explained here on this SlickDeals post..."

No I don't throw fits(:

From my perspective who spends/invests cash, I only care about my OUTLAY

If some brokerage had first stock BOGO promo and I bought 1 stock @ $200 and got a second one on the house and then a $15 dividend on each, my instantaneous return on MY investment would be 30/200 or 15% dividend return on MY cash

At some point y'all have to grow outta of that couponing math… but maybe not(:
WTF are you talking about? Store credit has absolutely nothing to do with a cash dividend. Amazon isn't giving you cashback. Holy hell.
