These are probably best for hot & dry climates, like Arizona, Southern Utah, etc. In Florida it is very much less useful.

can someone explain the misting part to me? i have the regular fan thats this size, but not the mister. seems like it would make things more humid and miserable, but obviously im wrong cause people seem to love them.

The misting would just allow for a light mist is water to hit you while you're working. Instead of drenching in just sweat or a bunch of water, it's just a light coat. I don't think it would be advised to use this enclosed indoors

It's only useful in dry climates, but in Arizona a misting system can drop temps 20 degrees on a patio

These take forever to ship right? I have a sore in stock about 19 miles away, cost about the same with gas vs shipping, but picking it up would be faster.

Are the ones in store basically new like the ones we order online?

I live in a humid climate, but this sounds great to me, especially as the sun is going down. Maybe I'll put ice cold water in the bucket lol. We'll see. In for 1.
