The Morning Show is also good. I,too, like many others don't really watch Apple TV + and unless they step up their content offering I think they'll lose most of their subscribers once their trial is up.

My XR is coming up on 2 years in September, and they seem to keep extending the trial out?

Apple streaming is the worst of the bunch, had it free for over a year low content and nothing worth watching. No wonder it was free

My free year is done soon and I'll probably wait until Foundation comes out before subscribing again. Might even wait until there are new seasons of For All Mankind and Mythic Quest. $4.99 a month isn't much but there's not enough content for me to keep it on with so many other streaming services around vying for my attention.

I like Ted Lasso and I'm not even a sports fan. The show is well written but I think the main appeal is Ted's character is just so likable.

You asking does the Apple TV expire in the box or can you still get Apple TV +? LMAO

On a serious note, no, you cannot get Apple TV+ for free. Reason being, if you purchase the Apple TV a few years ago, that would mean its likely before Apple TV + even came out. It launched in November 2019. Besides that, it's not based off you activating/using the eligible product but rather when you purchased it. You have 3 months after purchase to activate the free trial.

Yes they extended the trial one time. Most likely as a courtesy due to the pandemic. A lot of companies have given a "bonus" during the pandemic. I'd be surprised they extend again. If so, that means they KNOW their content isn't good enough to keep a paying subscriber. I do think it's a shame you can't stack the free trials with each purchase.

Can't seem to get this to work even though I just purchased a new Mac Mini. I actually went as far as canceling my free subscription as it was going to end July 5th anyway and was going to start billing me.

This is kind of random...but when I sent in my iPad Air 3 for service and they sent me back a refurb, I got the offer too. It was a pretty good deal just for getting a new replacement iPad. Alas, I've barely watched Apple TV.

I had the 1 year groom from iPhone X aabout year ago, and then got the new iPhone about 6 months Ago. At first it extended my Apple TV another year, but recently the expiration date updated to a 3 month window.

I upgraded 3 other lines at the same time, and they still have the same issue.
