That should work but I don't think you can change Apple IDs on a device more than once every 30 days (double check for yourself just in case). So, you can do it but then you're locked in for a while.

You asking does the Apple TV expire in the box or can you still get Apple TV +? LMAO

On a serious note, no, you cannot get Apple TV+ for free. Reason being, if you purchase the Apple TV a few years ago, that would mean its likely before Apple TV + even came out. It launched in November 2019. Besides that, it's not based off you activating/using the eligible product but rather when you purchased it. You have 3 months after purchase to activate the free trial.



Yes they extended the trial one time. Most likely as a courtesy due to the pandemic. A lot of companies have given a "bonus" during the pandemic. I'd be surprised they extend again. If so, that means they KNOW their content isn't good enough to keep a paying subscriber. I do think it's a shame you can't stack the free trials with each purchase.
Activating the Apple TV will present the TV+ offer. Apple goes by activation date, not the actual purchase date. In most cases, Apple doesn't actually know when you purchased it.

You're getting a credit because Apple extended TV+ through 6/30 for free and issued monthly credits to those who paid for it.

They sent an email about it a while back.

Love Apple TV+, no it doesn't have a million titles from 2005 but love the fact it's finely directed, never seen before original programming

Just finished my 1 year trial
And I will be continuing with Lasso and new awesome shows like foundation coming

When this runs out I think they realize most people will keep Apple+ because of the bundling.

We have the $30/m service that gives us 2TB iCloud, Apple Music, Apple+, and their crap game service too for the whole family (which has 2 in-laws in it just to use up the 6 slots, but beware the head account gets all the iTune charges).

I have had their service for a whole year since last June and I did not bother watchin one little episode of any series. The lack of content is so bad that they should really be offering this for free for few more years until there's enough content to watch or like. I like their app, but their content. The only thing I was waiting is Foundation.

While I enjoyed the 2 movies I watched, the 2 documentaries, and the 3 shows.... I tend to agree that the value for Apple TV is insanely bad.
