But won't you agree that M1 can just sip on battery and keep lapping these Intel/AMD processors on every benchmark there is ...
I'm just saying what I said before Intel/amd should do something better and then increment their product lines .. if 5700U and 4700U are both Zen2 , then maybe 5700U should have been called 4750U
Make it easier for consumer to decide and not try to sneak in an old product with a new name
chances of anything other that 250 nits is 0.00000%

the laptop is unusable out of the box, very hot and load. i installed notebook fancontrol and lowered battery mode to "better battery". now it is perfect, you really don't need the extra power
disable amd settings that mess up the colors to preserve battery life
everything else is as what you would expect at this price range

I got this for 560 out the door (510 pre tax) for a laptop that benchmarks 5X better than the spectre x360 with an i7 that it's replacing and 4.5X better than the HP elite book that I still use for work every day.
My elite book has a terrible screen. My spectre was great but it has also had a bunch of Intel related issues over the years. It was still a great laptop and still very capable and faster than most of what people use, and this is FIVE TIMES FASTER.
If people want to be rational, this benchmarks almost as high as the original threadripper from a couple years ago. It's a beast.

This CPU benchmarks at 16200, better than the 5600u. It is worse in single thread by a small margin. It's irrelevant because there is literally nothing that this processor couldn't do. Nothing.
Even if you wanted to game it wouldn't be held back by the cpu it would be the integrated graphics. I'm so sick of people blurting out nonsense, ignore them. They are 14 year olds who don't have bills to pay and upgrade their gaming PCs every 6 months (I know, I used to be like them).
I'm worried about the screen, coming from a spectre x360 (2016 model tho) and the build quality. Performance is not even a remote concern because this laptop has serious specs. If you are going to use this as a desktop replacement with a monitor on a desk I wouldn't even think about it for 2 seconds, buy it if you have the Amex deal still.

Also, I can't tell about the linked deal coming with it, but I ordered the Pro one and the line item (during order and after) has a fingerprint reader in the power button. The only downside is, eta: 8/6. Which is weird, because it's exactly the same as the OP deal, just Pro instead of Home.
