As it is I rarely ever set my screen to 100% brightness anyway.
I've been buying computer screens and laptops for decades and have never heard nits talked about so much as on this forum (especially the past few years). Reading the posts here it feels like 30-40% of the value of a laptop comes from how many nits it has.
