This is wrong. Graco Children's Products is a brand of Newell Rubbermaid. It has NO relation or affiliation with Graco Inc., a manufacturer of fluid handling equipment including paint sprayers.
Graco Inc. started off with grease equipment in the 1920's before expanding to paint sprayers in the 1950's. They've never made or sold children's products.
I agree with you, I used the cheap midrange from harbor freight for like 65 bucks on sale to paint my fence and no way in hell it would be faster or more efficient to do it manually
Using this outdoors is 1000% different than any indoor application. Not even close to comparison
I have had this for over 2 years and use it pretty frequently.
I've used it to paint my kitchen cabinet doors, interior doors for our entire house, trim and even used it to help paint the trim on the exterior of our house (we had a big one we got cheap on FB Marketplace as well).
If you are wanting a flawless coat this is an awesome deal.
I'd only caution that the clean up takes time and you HAVE to do it every time.
Everyone becomes a damn expert when they're on here. Spray painters exist for a reason and they're used on big projects by pros for a reason. This unit might not be the best sprayer on the market but to say that all sprayers are useless is a pile of horse sh*t from the first commenter

Using these types of devices require a lot of time and effort masking and covering everything within 6 feet of the area you are painting. The amount of time spent doing all of this would have been better spent on a cheap roller with a rod. There is almost no exception to this rule as far as I see. I've painted a lot of rooms and these things just make more work. That isn't even taking into account the cost and overall quality of the product.
On top of all of that, you have to wear a sealed gas/fume rated mask and goggles which cost way more in 2021 than they did 5 years ago. You'll be out close to $300 before you even buy paint.
So $140 spray painter and hours spent masking everything or $0.75 roller $10 roller extender and $2 roller pale with a tarp down.
Let's also not gloss over the fact that there are about 500 different models of electric spray painters that go for 1/3rd this cost.
I was just painting deck railings and a picket fence. For me, a sprayer was invaluable.
I couldn't imagine trying to do it with just brushes and rollers, especially in between each individual picket. I used a combo of spray shields, cardboard cut-outs and drop cloths for overspray.
It's all about using the right tools for the job. And also what your time is worth to you. Could I have spent my entire weekend doing it with a brush? Maybe. Did I want to? Hell no.

Pros use these on accent colors.
I use one exclusively for front doors, shutters, and exterior railings.
I save 40 bucks every job due to not having to by a gallon of paint because my paint rig holds 5/8 of a gallon in the housing, pump, and line. I can do a front door and shutters with a quart.
Graco and Titan aren't your Wagner or harbor freight quality either. There's a reason pros have a 2k+ spray rig, quality and reliability.

Don't agree at all. We've used these routinely to stain raw cedar and we didn't have to do any prep. Just put the cedar on the saw horses and go. So much faster than a brush.
Great for resealing shutters too. Same with our recently repainted kitchen cabinet doors.
Painted the exterior of an outbuilding with minimal taping. Rough textured siding that would have taken forever with a roller.
Like any tool , it all depends on ones application.
I have had one of these for years and have used it in so many different applications. Cabinet doors, baseboards, whole closets, painting just the walls, painting just ceilings, and funnily enough, a deck just this morning. I have sprayed both oil based primer which requires a little cleanup, acrylic, and of course urethane. I actually moved from a Graco X5 which was a little too pro for my needs, to the TC360DC. But this thing is one of my favorite tools I own. My wife used it for the first time this morning while I was doing the deck and thought it was so fun that she wants to paint everything now. Lol.
It's a shame the first post is getting so much visibility. While it is true these can sometimes require a little more prep, the results speak for themself. No brush strokes, no stippling from a foam roller. Just a nice thick smooth single pass coat. They take some technique and yes, you use materials like tape or masking paper/plastic. But you get pro-like results.

I sat right here and said I didn't want no TruCoat!
