Don't trust Newegg to send new condition storage drives. They sent me a used, obviously previously opened hdd sold as new, and were a hassle to deal with returns. At least with ssd, you might be able to check the S.M.A.R.T. for a wear rating.

It is shuckable but there is no point in doing it since it is an mSATA drive, not an NVME drive

Yes, noting that you can play Xbox 360 or Xbox One games directly from it. But Xbox Series X/S games can only be stored cold on it, as they will only run from the internal SSD or the official expansion card. Good option to put backwards compatible games on.
