This hp has a 10th gen and a max q? No thanks
Also, it has some advantages like having a MUX switch, Thunderbolt 4 Port etc.

Ahhh, that's it then, I was reading up on the AMD version I guess. Is a MUX switch really a big big benefit compared to the AMD version that doesn't have it? I've heard a lot about mux switches but few places say why it's better than the alternative (I don't know what the AMD version uses instead, for example)
Worse cpu in this one however
It wasn't a big deal until it became a big deal like a couple years ago.
People don't realize how hard it is to implement because you need a whole new motherboard design. Intel has more options with mux switches to this point. but yes you ultimately do get a boost. But you get the same boost by just hooking up to external monitor so mux switch doesn't have to be a deal-breaker if you have external monitor
Ram timings and single v dual rank are the new things to look for noe

Shipping date is atrocious though. IMO, it gets shipped way earlier than the expected ship date. Usually within 2-3 weeks.
Now regarding whether you go for it or not, if you find a deal with Mux switch and similar specification by paying say, $50 to $70 extra and you play a lot of those fast multiplayer games and mainly play in your Laptop display rather than using external monitors, then go for it. Anything over extra $100 for same spec, it does not worth IMO, unless you're a frame rate fanatic.

Also this is running an outdated 10th-gen CPU that's both eclipsed by the Ryzen 5000 series and its own big brothers the 11th H-sieres. With these specs that 3070 is barely making this decent.
