75Hz refresh rate - in case anybody cares. Couldn't find it on the specs page

Costco Acer 49" for $699 is 3840 x 1080 with VSA panel (cheaper display panels). This is an Acer 38" with 3840x1600 resolution on an IPS panel. The equivalent Dell models are about $1000. Huge difference between the two monitor display resolutions and pixels per inch. The IPS monitor quality will be leagues higher than that 49".

Never again with an Acer. Owned 2, both had dead pixels within 12 months. Good deal, but for the money, there are better options.

I have an Acer 27" 1440p IPS monitor for 4 years now, rock solid. The PQ is great and honestly I have tried hard to move to 34" but nothing comes close to how good it looks and works. Maybe I just got lucky with the panel.

Oh man, would have been perfect if it had USB-C connectivity

Edit: looks like it has it…perhaps it's the same panel as the Dell https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/s...ccessories

It does have it, but the question is does it support Power Delivery?

Seems like it does, but there's no mention of the wattage and it appears that you don't get the USB hub functionality over the USB-C port. Unfortunate. This would have been a great productivity monitor.

I've got this model, been rocking it for a couple years now. Great colors, good brightness. It does have usb-c power delivery, basically the usb A ports are a hub. I used to plug my mbp in, use it as an external display, the usb hub, and charging. My setup has changed, works the same with my ipad pro.

I think it's 50-60 watts (leaning towards 60), it is enough to charge a 2018 mbp or an ipad pro, but not enough for my gaming laptop.

I've owned this monitor for 3 years and it's been great. Have a new MacBook Air M1 and it connects over USB-C and the USB-A ports on the back of the monitor work without any additional cables. It also charges the MacBook Air M1. The one caveat when using it with a Mac is that you can only use 60hz. 75hz results in a blank screen.

That's a bummer. Anything more than 60hz is very desirable even for non game use, I personally believe. You feel so much in control with higher refresh rates on large displays.
It's a deal breaker, otherwise seems like a great deal.

The Costco monitor is FHD vs QHD on this deal. This monitor has significantly higher resolution.
