Probably because SDers are comparing it to the m12 4-pack for $99 deal that was in-stock last week at HD. That deal included two 4ah and two 2ah batteries. So not exactly the same thing, but close enough that most would compare that deal to this one.

I personally would rather pay a little extra to keep from having to switch batteries constantly

Most jobs don't need all 6ah batteries. And for $50 less, most frugal SDers would choose the versatility of owning two 4ah and two 2ah batteries. For example, no reason to lug around 6ah in your drill when 2ah will do the job 99% of the time.

But yes, it's an individual choice. Buy and use whatever works best for you.

This isn't to say this is a bad deal, but these have been this price for weeks, if not months now; so long that it doesn't seem like a sale price so much as the normal price.
