These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
Will WF allow you to convert an existing Visa to this?
Yes so no credit check needed. But you won't get the sign up bonus. You would need to open a net new card and go through the application process to get the bonus.
Worst bank I have ever dealt with, ever. Completely woke on top of everything else. Moved my 2 business accounts two years ago because they would not cash a few of my employees checks. When speaking to the manager he was all over the board with lame excuses and said it would not happen again. Nope, it continued. Moved my business to a credit union and all good now.
I'd avoid this card if possible, worst customer experience I have ever experienced at a financial institution. Super low credit limit (ok, whatever $1,500) but the 14 days to apply credit from my bank is crazy with that limit, I pay off purchases immediately (like under 1 hour) , and am constantly over limit and I'm using my other cards. Calling is a miserable experience and it takes escalation to tell you what the issue is and why it's your fault. Never needed to call Amex or chase more than once per year for the last decade, but Wells Fargo seems to get called at least once per week.
WF has the weirdest policy. They will approve a credit card or loan or line of credit online.
The customer will need to go to meet a banker and explain what the loan/loan/loc is for and depends on the banker one may be approved for the already approved card/loan/loc.
I now have this card and it says it comes with cell protection, would y'all recommend buying AppleCare+ for my new 13pro, or just stick with this credit card coverage?
Just adding a note that the cell phone policy is only in effect after homeowner's or rental ( or cell phone insurance). Meaning if you have a phone but no manufacturer or carrier insurance on it but DO have a homeowner's (or rental) policy they would make you file a claim with your homeowners before they would do anything claim wise.

Double Cash is a Mastercard.
I was able to convert my existing WF card (Cash Wise 1.5% cash back) to this online in like 15 clicks.
I do lose some benefits but I'd rather the higher cashback. I've rarely been able to take advantage of other benefits anyway. These are lost:
Auto rental CDW
Travel accident insurance
Extended warranty
Price protection
Purchase security
Lost luggage
Trip cancellation
The extended warranty would probably make me use a different card for large expenses where an extended warranty is worth a small bit less cash back.
Don't you still receive most of those benefits by virtue of the card being a Visa Signature?
