Not knocking the deal as it is the best price currently, but don't trust that MSRP for a second. It's $629 (+89 shipping) from Sam's club, which includes their return policy. In the end that may be a better deal for some people.

This year proved that I don't need a gym. A home gym is way better on my time and my wallet. Plus, no gym people...

Yep, been slowly buying stuff, moving in a few weeks and I'll be picking up a rogue squat rack to replace the wood one I built during covid

Don't believe the msrp. I got this machine probably 5 years ago for around $600. I like it a lot. I have never had any issues with mine and I would definitely recommend it unless you are going to be lifting really heavy. The most I lift is around 235 and it does fine. And make sure to oil the slides in the front and the square rail in the back. It makes a huge difference.

I own this exact model, while I do love it and stand by my purchase, a few things to note.
1. That MSRP is BS, I got this for close to $500 a few years back from target after stacking coupons.
2. The preacher curl attachment is jacked up somehow. It wont slide into place after a couple years of use.
3. Get some thread lock for the bench! The bolts fall out over and over again!

I got this and the 300lb Olympic bar/weight set from dicks for about $200. It has made an excellent bargain gym.

Found a review on YouTube that the guy stated that he got it for $499 in 2018... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL56y1b1YRk

Overall it looks good, but now I don't feel like it's a deal and will hold out, as I don't actually need this.
Not the same model. Similar functions, but that is a MD-9010G. And those were "pre covid" prices. No chance that model goes that low unless there is a major clearance, overstock or some other miracle. Lol

Best thing I have ever purchased was home gym equipment! No lazy days lol
Although it's sometimes hard to get motivated and my home gym equipment is limited and not quite gym quality. Although good enough for basic workout and get a sweat on. If I had several thousand to spare, getting a peloton or fitness mirror would be great, but that's a hefty investment

I know. I am a part owner in a local gym and though I don't have all the equipment I have most of what I need. Powerbolcks that go to 90, a functional trainer, leg extension/curl, power cage and incline/decline bench. For cardiovascular I just go outside for a run or do yard work lol 😆😅

I love the gym and it motivates me more when I'm not in the comfort of my home... But I will truly never understand the people who go to the gym just to stand around and socialize. My gym is packed with them. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day (I usually go after work) is aimlessly wander around a busy gym for hours trying to chat to people. When I workout, I want to make it as efficient as possible. But having to put up with guys standing around in groups chatting and hogging equipment that I want to use is one thing I do not miss about home workouts.

Lmao if I had to lift in my apartment, my neighbors would report me to authorities 😂.

You expect me to deadlift, squat, and press without making noise like the ceiling is about to fall in for those underneath?

Kudos to those who have a large home/basement. Not having to worry about neighbors. A lot of people don't.

I like to have space and enough weights. So gym it is for me.

As a general rule, Smith machines are terrible for most workouts and only useful for a few things. Don't squat or bench in them, the movement is not what the bar path should be. Also, this appears to be a straight vertical bar-path, whereas most Smiths have a slight angle to at least mimic the correct motion on some lifts.

If you're dying for a Smith, there's probably better options, but the vast majority of people should be passing on it for a home gym regardless.
