Ofcourse this is not as good as the Walmart YMMV. But you get 2TB storage here.

Also, if you have access to EPP or PAW, you can get it around ~1430 + 8x WowPoints.

How do you think this L5P compares to the 7 slim (AMD) deals posted? Prices seem pretty similar - is it just screen vs. weight/battery/build?

Also on a slightly theoretical tangent - how would these compare to the new 16in all AMD HP Omen rumored to be released on the 4th?

I love all the aspects of this Machine except the weight!! I wish this was somewhat lighter & portable.
The Asus G15 is direct competitor, but stays out of stock.

I am a little skeptical while choosing Dell Inspiron for gaming. The Dell XPS already sucked last year with tons of QC issues & it's suppose to be their premium lineup.
Anyways the Inspiron is a Intel machine which still not tested well yet!!!

Genuinely curious about your experience editing on this machine. I bought the 3070 pro as well, and I've been putting it through its paces in Davinci Resolve and it hasn't even broken a sweat. I love the screen, it seems plenty fast for editing, especially at this price point.

I agree the sound isn't great, but I wouldn't typically edit off laptop speakers anyway…

It's a gaming laptop. Not made for content creation. There are much better options for content creation than this.

I think the dell screen is 3k 60hz and doesn't have advanced optimus or g-sync. So, not really a clone. That inspiron is catered more towards content creation while this is for gaming.
