Rectangular set is available but not on sale for those that think it's still worth the $5 difference.

I'm not a SC member and am looking for something like this to replace the mishmash of food storage containers. Does anybody have any advice on which brands to look for or avoid? I just want a set with tops that don't break so easily.

I have square and rectangular glass lock containers for last 4-5 years and it is going good. Sometimes, the elderly find it difficult to close.

Glasslock brand is great. Made in Korea and ap pioneer. Snaplock like in Costco etc not bad.

Rectangular is much better than circle for efficient space utilization and even hold.

Nesting is a bit hard to get with glass containers unlike plastic. Glasslock ones stack/nest as well as any, which isn't too well.

Ikea ones are also well designed as a system with interchangeable lids, even with their plastic containers.

Glass all the way for food safety, so the weight/bulk is an unavoidable price to pay.

Yeah........It's a new issue with current tempered glass.

It's not as durable as the older kind and much more susceptible to spontaneous explosions.
Specially furniture.
(It's one thing for your meal to go to waste but another for a TV and A/V equipment crashing down due to structure failure.)
