You're wrong, this is the $20/month subscription. It's the "Hi-Fi" not the "premium" which is what you're describing.

*Best Buy must have a discounted monthly rate or something.

I would gladly pay $2 a month for Tidal over Amazon, just personal preference (Amazon downloading doesn't work well for me, Amazon Roku app constantly freezes up and has to be reloaded, etc.). Most things I've read project Spotify to be $15-$20 a month since premium is currently $9, but we'll see. I'm sure there will be introductory offers. Do expect it to be glitchy for awhile though.

Those are valid points. My favorite streamer is Qobuz. They have true high resolution audio and a store front website with deep search filtering that allows you to screen for particular labels and sample rates. Oh and they have booklets for those labels that provide them. Price is more than fair at $15 per month or $12.50 per month with an annual prepay.
